With no roads, no towns, and only a few isolated villages scattered around the perimeter, Beqa Lagoon Resort is one of the last untouched islands in the South Pacific, offering true Fijian culture & hospitality.

How To Get There

Most of the packages include both ground and boat transportation. Ground transfer by Beqa Lagoon Resort's bus or taxi is approximately 2.5  hours from Nadi Airport to the boat launch in Pacific Harbor. From Suva Airport to Pacific Harbor is approximately 1.5  hours. The boat crossing from Pacific Harbor to Beqa is approximately 45 minutes. Boat crossing from Pacific Harbour is at 10 am and 4:30 pm. Boat from Beqa back to Pacific Harbour is at 10 am. Please note, charter boats may be arranged outside of the standard schedule for additional cost. Boat crossing does not take place during dark hours.

Dive Overview

Fiji is home to an amazing variety of fish life, including colorful angelfish, anemone fish, anthias, frogfish, hawkfish, moray eels, ghost pipefish, and countless other photogenic species. For thrill seekers, there's nothing like Beqa's Big Fish and Shark Encounter at Cathedral. This remote and protected area is home to more than 8 shark species, including the majestic Tigers.

Accommodation Overview

The Beqa Lagoon Resort has a total of 25 accommodations, comprised of Fijian-style villas called bures - 12 beachfront with private courtyards and dipping pools, 9 garden & koi pond, and 4 two-bedroom ocean view suites. All of the bures are air-conditioned and have ceiling fans. There are also tea and coffee facilities, in-room safes and Pure Fiji toiletries, complimentary turndown service, and a laundry service for a small charge.

Dive Information

Surrounded by over 190 miles of spectacular coral reef on one of the Worlds largest barrier reefs, Beqa Lagoon Resort offers divers a gateway to a wonderland of marine life and some of the best diving in Fiji, the soft coral capital of the World. With dive sites that start from as shallow as 15ft (5m) and drop away to nearly 100ft (30m) and beyond in some places, divers are able to dive at a variety of depths, depending on what they are looking for. With year-round temperatures ranging between a cool 75f (25c) and a bathwater 84f (29c) divers are comfortable in 3mm to 5mm suits.

All of the boat dives are guided by PADI Divemasters who have been diving the waters of Beqa since they were children. Knowing every small hole and hiding place on these pristine reefs they are able to show divers all of the colorful and amazing treasures that these waters hold from Blue-ribbon eels, Clown Triggerfish, Leaf Scorpionfish to camouflaged day Octopus. All the while you dive in a rainbow of vivid pink and orange anthias and silver-blue fusiliers. Take some time to explore sunken wrecks or even feed your adrenaline with the Beqa Big Fish Encounter, a dive that teases you with huge groupers, bait balls of massive Trevally, and the chance of being up close and personal with 9 different species of sharks including 15ft+ Tigers.

The beautiful house reef is perfect for diving any time of day or night when the fancy takes you. Unlimited shore diving is included in all dive packages. Located straight out from the resort beach, the reef boasts healthy hard corals, numerous juvenile reef fish, rays, and even the elusive seahorse that likes to hide in the shallow eel grass. Reaching a maximum depth of 25ft (8m) this site is not only perfect for diving, but makes an ideal protected area for snorkeling your day away. The 5* PADI dive center has snorkeling gear available for guests, as well as a full range of dive equipment for rental, including wrist-mounted dive computers, BCDs, regulators, full-length wetsuits, nitrox, night lights, and even UV lights if you want to try fluorescent night diving. The only way to see the true colors of the corals!

Growing up on Beqa Island has given the dive team of Beqa Lagoon Resort an immense level of knowledge and understanding of the waters of the lagoon and all the treasures that they hold. Just a look out to the water in the morning and the boat captains know exactly which dive sites are going to provide our dive guests with the best possible conditions each day. Then once in the water, the lively Beqa Lagoon PADI Divemasters will excite divers and photographers of all levels with the amazing marine life they find along every step of the dive.

Beqa Lagoon Resorts 5* PADI Dive Centre is proud to be able to offer our guests a wide variety of PADI courses for both uncertified and experienced divers. We are also happy to allow our guests the flexibility of completing the theory part of their course online before they arrive in Fiji. This means you get to have more time in the water and less time reading a book.

Beqa Lagoon Resort's 3 new catamaran dive boats get divers comfortably and quickly to the dive sites.

All vessels are fully equipped with all of the amenities you will need for your day including all safety equipment, life vests, emergency oxygen, and first aid kits, marine VHF radios, and marine toilets.
