How To Get There

Manado airport is 90 minutes by car to Bitung harbor, then a 5-10 minute boat ride. Transfers hours are 8 am 5 pm. Transfer time to Bunaken for combo trips: 3 hours.

Dive Overview

Lembeh is, without doubt, the muck-diving capital of the world. Underwater photographers flock here from all over the world to see a myriad of critters, frogfish, pipefish, nudibranchs, seahorses, juvenile fish, and other exotic animals. Don't expect beautiful reefs in Lembeh itself, but very scenic reefs exist at nearby islands.

Accommodation Overview

• There are four budget rooms (1-2 pax: twin or double), two standard rooms (1 double for 1-2 pax, one room for 1-3 pax), six superior cottages (1-3pax).
• All rooms are with fan, have an anti-mosquito device, plug extension cable and an umbrella. All bathrooms have shower gel and shampoo.

The resort's large restaurant offers varied main dishes of fish, chicken, eggs and meat as well as vegetarian dishes such as tofu and tempeh. All main dishes are served with rice, vegetables and salad. The cafe is right by the sea and is a great place to chill with a cold beer, or play a game of darts!

Activities

You can take a few days off from diving and explore the volcanoes and national park around Manado.

Located at the foot of Dua Saudara Mountain, the Tangkoko national nature reserve is comprised of rolling hills and valleys with a variety of hardwood trees and unusual plant life. Tangkoko national nature reserve offers a suitable protective environment helping prevent animals from extinction.

The main village that everyone aims for in the highlands that surround Manado is called Tomohon. It is known as the Flower City, and there are many Flower Markets in the surrounding area. Two active volcanoes surround Tomohon, Mt.Mahawu and Mt.Lokon. They offer some good climbs, suitable for most people, of only one or two hours. Lake Tondano has floating restaurants that serve freshwater fish.

Lembeh Straits Dive Overview

Lembeh Straits is known as the muck diving capital of the world, and is one of the few places in the world where you will see the elusive hairy frogfish, pygmy seahorses, larger seahorses like the thorny seahorse, mimic octopus, wunderpus and flamboyant cuttlefish to name a few.

Muck dives consist of sandy black slopes with good visibility, approximately 10-15m. It is a macro-photographers dream, as the slopes are teaming of all sorts of fascinating critters and the black sand reduces back-glare. Muck dives are the main reason many divers return to us, in Lembeh, time and time again.

Lembeh also has some fascinating shipwrecks. They are covered in both corals and creatures making them fantastic to explore.

Last but not least, Lembeh is also surrounded by sites with small walls and slopes full of soft corals. Lembeh diving truly does have something for everyone.

Dive Boats

Two Fish Resort Lembeh Dive Center Overview

The resort and dive center is right on the beach, and the boats moor just outside for your convenience, saving you that extra time in bed in the morning! The reception has a small shop that stocks your favorite dive accessories and gear, and the dive center is where all the dive planning happens. The dive boats are traditional wooden boats that are large and spacious, catering for up to 10 divers, and have a toilet on board.

• Dive boats: Two traditional wooden boats built in the local style, on-board WC; these hold 8-10 divers each, plus one fiberglass dive boat for up to 12 divers. All boats have oxygen, first aid and lifejackets, and all carry drinking water, tea & coffee and snacks for surface intervals.
